Structurally completed by 1436, the Florence Cathedral is a UNESCO world heritage site and is one of the most important wonders of Florentine Renaissance. The exterior of the basilica is faced with unique marble panels utilizing various shades of green, pink, and white – locally sourced and symbolic of Florence and Tuscany as a region. Creating a kaleidoscope of form and colour, it emphasizes on the horizontal elements of geometry and design.
