Making my vision come to life has always been the driving force for me and my work. It’s not very often that I find a space that allows me to do exactly that – creating freely without boundaries. I’ve been very fortunate to have come across incredibly talented creatives in the industry over the past several years, especially ones that share similar interests and goals when it comes to making our world a little more beautiful – in our own special little ways. This particular home, designed by Vania Pecchia Interiors and built by Divano Homes, was the perfect setting for my photography prints to come to life. For a fleeting few hours on this day, I was able to get lost in constant dialogue between travel, design, photography, and the importance of art in our homes.

I think being able to bring art in a home is so special – I want people to envision how they can live with my work in their own space. I’ve always believed that art is incredibly personal. Perhaps, it evokes a memory of travel or simply just a feeling that makes us feel connected, not just with ourselves but also the space and people around us. Art is subjective, timeless, and influential. Like a thread, we weave it into our homes and therefore it coexists in our everyday lives.

For the majority of my creative journey I have considered myself as self-taught, so everything is intuitive. I don’t have a process and everyday is different. I often make creative decisions based on a feeling – it’s innate. That intuitive feeling has always led me towards this need to capture the essence of a room, through styling and photography… harvesting beauty from everyday life in every way I can possibly imagine.

Through a short series of visual anecdotes divided between two volumes, I’m able to share a story. At the heart of it all is visual poetry about composition, textures, stillness, and finding beauty in everyday life inside our homes.

What is Art? | Journal Entry

I think art is about forging an emotional bond, a safe space where the most personal is also the most beautiful. Every element seems to be this beautiful thing that attracts other beautiful things… and then somehow, all this beauty become harmonious and find completion inside our minds, inside our homes, and therefore our world.
