An inside perspective of the famous double helix staircase at the Château de Chambord. Situated in the Loir-et-Cher department of France, it is a prime example of the French Renaissance architectural movement. Commissioned in the early 16th century by King Francis I, its initial intent was to serve as a luxurious hunting lodge. However, its grandeur and elaborate design quickly transformed it into an emblem of French royal power and cultural significance.
