Chi·a·ro·scu·ro: The Italian renaissance word for light and shadow; an effect of contrasting light and darkness to achieve a sense of volume and dimension. It’s one of the classic techniques used in the works of artists like Rembrandt, da Vinci, and Caravaggio. This view across the Arno river transmit a serene reflection of Italian architecture, as light and shadow dance underneath the Tuscan sky.
